San Diego Temple Wedding – Carrie & William

This day!! It was windy, rainy and cold, none of the things you think of when you think of a San Diego temple wedding, but goodness, was this wedding beautiful!! I am just in love with these photos! I think what I love most about them is the beautiful people in them! I have a long history with this family, I photographed Carrie’s sister Nicole’s wedding in October, her brother Justin’s wedding in 2013, and will soon photograph her brother Troy’s wedding in July. I’m going to have to add a whole new category on my blog just for their weddings!! I’m 4 for 4 with this family, and you have no idea how happy this makes me! They are, every one of the, the sweetest, nicest, most welcoming family, and sharing in these special days with them has truly been a joy for me.

Carrie and Will were of course no exception. We had to rush their portraits thanks to the rain, but it really ended up being perfect. Not a drop of rain during photo time, and we had some seriously gorgeous light. Carrie and Will were so sweet together, that it made getting a lot of great photos in not a lot of time super easy for me! I just love the way that Will looks at Carrie, and his reaction to seeing her in her gown was so incredible!

I thought my favorite part of the day would be over when we reached the reception. Usually portrait time is the highlight of the wedding for me (and don’t get me wrong, that was still the case here) but MAN was their reception one for the books! Will is Tongan, and their beautiful, rich culture was all over Carrie and Will’s reception. There were traditional cultural dances performed by Carrie, Will, and his family members, that were so fun to watch and even more fun to photograph. And then when the open dancing started…I’ve never seen a dance floor so packed!! I loved the energy that everyone had and it made this reception one of the best ones I’ve been to! A perfect way to end a truly stunning wedding day.

Carrie and Will, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day! I was thrilled to be a part of it! Congratulations, you two! Here’s to time and all eternity.
