I could live in Costa Rica. I totally could. It’s just my kind of hot, which is SUPER hot and super humid! mmmmm yes please. Colorado is way too dry for my liking. Plus, no beaches. Here’s a look at some of our Costa Rica Vacation Photos. You can see the portrait sessions we did down there here and here!

Here are a few of my favorite parts of our trip:

Perlas – If you’re ever in Potrero you MUST stop by Perlas. We ate breakfast there every day, SO good!

Las Brisas – Another amazing restaurant, this one on the beach and it had the best fish and chips I’ve ever had.

-Monkeys!! We could hear them every morning and saw a pack (heard, clan, parliament?) of them one night swinging from the trees.

-Catamaran Tour – We took a catamaran ride to go snorkeling and watch the sunset. A pod (I know this one) of dolphins who came and swam around our boat for a little while. Dolphins are one of my favorite animals, and always have been, so this was a little slice of heaven for me.

-Billy! The little dog that lived at the house next to ours. He was SUCH a sweetheart and was so happy to see us every time we walked by.

-The gorgeous bougainvillea tree (bush, plant, I have no idea) out by our pool. These were everywhere in Costa Rica and I fell in love! So pretty!

-Travelling the world with our very best friends, who are always good for a laugh, will be your boogie-board buddies, will brave the Oregon Trail with you (we’ll beat it one day!) and the best travel companions and friends we could ask for! Where we headed next?!

Billy!

high fives around the world!

By now, you all know that whenever I travel, whether it’s for work or for pleasure, I always want to a session. On our recent trip to Costa Rica, our sweet friends Mallory & Aaron were kind enough to take some time out of our vacation for a little Costa Rica photo session. Well, as much as I love taking photos, I also love to get out in front of the camera, especially in places we travel to! My dear, sweet husband does not love that. But, he loves me enough to appease me and do a quick photo session on the beach!

After giving Mallory a crash course in photography, she started her photography career on a beach in Costa Rica (not bad for the resume, eh). I was so proud of her, I thought she did amazing and I love these photos she took of us! I can’t wait to get some printed out for the house! Thanks Mallory!!

You.

The Most Important Thing about Being a Wedding Photographer

That’s right. You, the client. My brides and grooms.

You are the number one most important thing in my business. Not my profit margins, not how many bookings I have for the year, but you.

Hiring me to be your wedding photographer isn’t about me, it’s about you. It’s about how I can serve you and what you’ll experience working with me. I want you to walk away from this experience with nothing but good thoughts, and that hopefully means I’ve served you well.

The Most Important Thing about Being a Wedding Photographer

I want to get to know you, what your wedding and marriage mean to you. I can’t wait to hear how he proposed and where you went on your first date. I’d like to learn every little detail so I can fully capture your love story and all those little moments that mean the most to you. It’s important to me that you’re excited about the time we spend together and you leave our meetings or engagement session with a smile on your face, feeling like it was time well spent. I want you to know that I’m here for you by answering questions about any and all aspects of your wedding day, recommending other wedding day pros to you, or just being someone you can share your wedding day excitement with!

Truly, I can’t say enough how much I care about you, clients of mine. The fact that you’ve placed your trust in me to capture this day is an honor that I don’t take lightly. In me, you’ll have a wedding photographer whose number one priority is and always will be, you.
